Our organizations have enjoyed a long-standing relationship built around a shared appreciation for Maine’s outdoor heritage, community involvement, and introducing future generations to the outdoors. Supporting the derby is one of the ways Monmouth Fish & Game helps strengthen those traditions while supporting a local business that has been an important part of the Monmouth community.

Each year, Monmouth Fish & Game members volunteer to staff a refreshment tent at the derby, serving hot food and drinks to participants throughout the event. It’s a great opportunity for our members to lend a hand, meet families and fellow sportsmen and women, and help make a winter day on the ice a little warmer.

The Jack Traps Ice Fishing Derby represents what community partnerships are all about—local organizations working together, neighbors helping neighbors, and keeping Maine’s outdoor traditions strong for generations to come.
