DESCRIPTION:Monmouth Fish & Game will be hosting our annual D-Day Commemorative Shoot this Saturday, June 6.\nThe event will begin at 10:00 AM.\nThis shoot honors the Allied invasion of Normandy on June 6, 1944, and is designed around vintage military firearms and marksmanship traditions.\nCourse of Fire\nRifle Match\n\n100-yard course\nOpen-sighted rifles only\nWWII-era rifles preferred\n46 rounds for record\nSighter rounds permitted\n\nPistol Match\n\n20-yard course\nOpen, fixed-sight pistols only\n1911-style pistols preferred\n40 rounds for record\nSighter rounds permitted if needed\n\nParticipants are encouraged to bring period-correct firearms whenever possible, though suitable open-sighted firearms that meet the course requirements are welcome.\nPlease arrive a few minutes early to register, receive the safety briefing, and prepare your equipment before shooting begins.\nWe look forward to seeing everyone for a great day of shooting, camaraderie, and remembrance.\n
